Infrastructure
Port: It is 45 minutes'drive from Ninghai to Beilun Port through Tongjiang-Sanya expressway for a distance of 90 km. In 2001, the port handled with 128.5 million tons of cargos, ranking the second at domestic. It is open to 560 potrs in 90 countries and regions directly, through regular lines of international containers to Hong Kong, Japan, USA, and European countries and irregular lines to Singapore and Australia.
Railway: Nhinghai is 75 km to Ningbo Railway Station, which joins in the national railway network via Xiaosan-Ningbo Line by connecting with Hangzhou-Shanghai line and Zhejiang-Jiangxi line.
Aviation: Ninghai is 66 km to Ningbo Lishe International Airport, which is opened 27 lines to domestic cities, besides Hong Kong, Macao, Taipei and Gaoxiong.
Highway: The Tongjiang-Sanya Expressway being under construction will run through the whole county and have three entrances to Ningbo Lihse International Airport, 40 minutes to Ningbo urban area, 45minutes to Beilun Port, two hours to Hangzhou, and 3 hours to Shanghai.
Power supply: East China Electric Distribution Net supplies Ninghai with electric power. The power supply is reliable and sufficient with daily supply reaching 1.5 million kwhs.
Water supply: Ninghai has abundant water resources of high quality. There are two major waterworks in the county, and the daily water supply approaches 120,000 tons that can meet the needs of large-scale development and construction. Each town of the county has its own waterworks of various sizes.
Telecommunication: Ninghai has 139,000 program-controlled telephone exchanges, available to connect with nearly all the domestic cities and over 200 foreign countries and regions.
